Despite Elisande being the harder boss, we actually spent fewer wipes to get her down in comparison to Star Augur (82 against 85 - we even spent about an hour longer in combat against Augur despite Elisande being the longer fight!). I guess it was just more frustrating to some as the wipes were because of mechanics present in heroic (that just hit for a whole lot more) whereas most of the wipes on Augur were because of mythic-only mechanics.

I'd say our next target is Gul'dan, but that brings me to the other news section of the post. Unfortunately we have shed a few of our players to Orbis and for now it's going to be hard to say for sure what's going to be happening to the future of ExC. I want it to stay around as it's been a good six years through the highs and lows - even though admittedly I did have a break from the guild during it, Swain had done a fantastic job in my stead! A post will be going up within the next few days discussing what we've talked about as officers about how to bring the guild into its next age.

Speaking of officers, unfortunately because of real life commitments Ganewate and Ginamarie have offered to step down from their roles (they mentioned this in officers' chat before we had raiders leaving for Orbis, so it's not as a result!) so I would like to thank them for their time and the effort they've put in both long- and short-term and wish them both the best in their RL distractions. They'll still be around (hopefully!) they just won't be doing as much stuff to do with the game out of the game now.

Regardless, it was a good tier to finish world top 1300 on (with a little thanks from Orbis for the Helya kill) and our Elisande kill has the following the thank:
Tanks: Excitedsoup, Ganewate
Healers: Barrypepper, Ginamarie, Jonbear, Ston
Melee: Caeldir, Copperwar, Fenvizz, Hárkonnen, Morsho, Piingu, Realzombie, Redmst
Ranged: Aeshmi, Blissey (Orbis), Chipmunk, Dimi, Giveusapet, Swáín

Personally, I'd have thought the conjunction would be a bigger cause for wipes than it was, but overall it only took us 85 pulls in total to finally kill Star Boy! Sure, it may have been our most wiped on boss before a first kill, but Krosus was only 78 in comparison. With congrats to both Orbis and Requiem for pipping us to the post and knocking us down to 5th on realm, we're still crawling to that top 2000 world spot.

Only 1300 guilds have taken down Elisande however, so a kill on her would jump us a fair few spots! Make sure to check out multiple guides to check out different points of view (Fatboss, Serenity, SignsOfKelani) as well as any recent POVs you can find on Wowprogress!

And down goes the final boss of this tier of difficulty within Mythic Nighthold! While it could have been a cleaner kill, it goes to show how much easier it was with only 21 attempts to take him down - 8 of those being in the Fatboss suggested order of Naturalist > Arcanist > Solarist. It's just a shame that he's one of the longer fights so the difficult part was always 5min+ attempts.

Nevertheless, we've now hit 7/10 mythic and now we have the dreaded Star Augur to face next. Botanist landed us just outside the top 2000 world spot unfortunately, but we can now fight to grab the realm 2nd spot (maybe? I don't know if Curse's Helya kill will keep them there) and to jump around 500 world ranks by killing Star Augur! The fight is brutal, but I can almost smell attempts at Gul'dan before Tomb comes out, it's so close!
